MISSION STATEMENT

The MISSION for the South Central Kansas Tourism Region is to promote travel to and within the region, and to provide leadership for developing and carrying out our plan for the orderly and effective promotion of the Travel Industry for increased economic impact to the region.

 GOALS

 1          Provide for a cohesive regional travel industry by speaking for the common concerns and interest of all segments of the industry within the region.

2          Promote better understanding of the positive economic impact of the travel industry of the State of Kansas and the region.

3          Provide a positive source of travel industry information for both government and the people of Kansas and the South Central region.

4          Provide support and assistance to the state agencies whose responsibilities include the promotion and marketing of Kansas and its resources as a travel and tourism location.

5          Provide educational programs within the regional travel industry.

6          Assist in the development and promotion of programs that will aggressively sell the South Central Kansas Tourism Region, both within and outside the State of Kansas.

7          Provide such services as are deemed necessary and desirable by those representatives of the travel industry who are members of SCKTR.
